The original HSC set was created by Tim Burgess, of:
Raised Bar
Tim has very kindly added some Jaws scripting to the project, in order to make accessing the Focusrite Saffire, quicker
The code has been debugged and significantly added too by Phil Muir and can be used in Windows 7 or 10. Note: please make sure that you have downloaded and installed the appropriate HSC set for your operating system.
Special thanks to Sarah Muir for helping with locating additional controls that are not apparent to screen readers
This set has only been tested on the Saffire Pro 24, Pro 40 and Liquid Pro 56 and doesn't contain any keystrokes for DSP features that are found on the Saffire Pro 24 DSP. Also, colour detection is known to fail under certain conditions with buttons that depend on it. Please see the known issues section, towards the end of this document.
Special thanks to Peter and Nancy Torpey for helping troubleshoot issues that end users reported with creating additional mixes. I have added some notes that Pete made to the documentation which I believe will make the HSC sets a bit more robust. Before using the sets, do the following:
- Put a shortcut to the Saffire Mix control program on your desktop.
- Open the Properties of the desktop shortcut (right click or Shift+F10 and arrow to Properties).
- Use the keystroke, Control plus Tab to navigate to the “Shortcut” tab of this dialog box.
- Tab to the “run” radio box and select “Maximized”.
- tab over to the OK button and press the enter key to close this dialog.
Now, when you open up the Saffire Mix Control program from the desktop shortcut, it will always open up maximized and fill the screen. All controls will be visible so the HSC spots can find them.
Note: if you are using the Saffire MixControl software to control multiple mixes, when setting up more than one mix it is necessary to bring up the master fader for that mix as by default, it is set to negative infinity. You will find the master fader for additional mixes in the master spot ring. Also, when setting up any mix in the Saffire Control Pannel for the first time all of the digital faders for ADAT are also set to negative infinity and nun of the digital inputs are assigned.

Known Issues
Sometimes, controls can become unavailable in the Saffire software. . You will know if you are experiencing this because the mix out buttons will trigger the wrong menus and the Out Link button will tell you that you need to locate the drag from HotSpot then, lock your physical mouse and drag the Window over to the left. Tim hopes to be able to script around this particular issue, soon. Pro 24 only, pressing any of the Pro 24 line out buttons will put them into a muted state. Currently the only way to unmute is to use your physical mouse to shift click on the location of the button in question. if you have pressed any of the Alt numbers then, you will already be on the correct location. Pro 24/Pro 40, nun of the line out toggles actually work at the moment. We hope to address this soon. Colour detection may fail if you try to access buttons that are not available in the interface that you are using E.G. you use a Pro 14 and you try to access Solos, PFL's and mutes that are not available due to a lower amount of channels. We have done our best to address this issue. Feel free to report any problems with colour detection and we shall see what can be done.
